Spent today sorting tiny stuff out of float samples. Mainly the sort that fell through the 1/4" screen but not the 2mm screen. (yes, there is an english-metric discrepancy here, but since the size grading is merely for user-convenience, it doesn't particularly matter) After I had knocked over the same small cup I was sorting small round seeds into for the third time, I went home. I ought to be sewing buttonholes, but somehow this doesn't appeal when my eyes already hurt. Bah.

I have not bought another doll (um, don't ask me which one, I just keep drooling over things) but I did just order 3 books I particularly want to read, which is not so clever of me, since I already have several others, and when I'm done with the frock coats (ideally to send on friday, ha, along with wool for astormorray so it can sit around waiting for her to get back from vacation) I have a huge quantity of not-my doll stuff to make, instead of just contemplating it as I have been doing.

And there's this boy, who for some odd reason might want me to pay attention to him instead of reading books and making things all the time. I think we were going to go to the zoo. Or faire or the mountains or something. (The cat would be perfectly happy if I sat around and read books all day, so long as I do it in a room where he will deign to sit half-way across the floor with his back to me and pretend I'm not there...)

Yes, that one... it came into my head when I was sorting the lace in the sink. We've got the Judy Collins record with it downstairs. Possibly I should do a bit more record-to-digital conversion someday. In my copious spare time...
