this is why it takes me so long to get to these things...

Here is the project I have just spent the last two days (full days, in the sort of hours other people spent working) creating:

This morning, however, there must be something wrong with me, as I got up at 5:30 because it was getting light out, and raining (yay rain!) and I was going to get up and draft my coat pattern. Except that I haven't gotten that far yet, because the place for drafting patterns is on the ping-pong table in the basement, and there aren't any windows down there...

Stamps!!!

So I went to the post office to mail my friend's wedding present, and after I looked and failed to see any notification of 24 cent postcard stamps (and only the old 23 cent ones in the vending machine) I asked after them at the window, intending to make my second question where I complain that they haven't come out yet. Only the lady said, yes, they did have 24 cent stamps after all. And they are very pretty moths (much better than engraved heads of people) and now I can mail postcards again. Yay!
