Question of the day: those of you who put down songs at the bottom of your entries-- how do you pick which one to list? I mean, do you really write the entire entry in the space of one song? Is it the one you're listening to when you start, or when you finish?

those of you who know the [livejournal.com profile] grauwulf should tell him happy birthday. He has successfully not died for another whole year. :)

those of you who are fans of LM Bujold should go here and vote for her books as being good sci-fi. There are only 4 on the list (though you can nominate more if you want) but for some reason Barrayar has the most votes, over Mirror Dance, Memory & A Civil Campaign. what?

capital leters are vastly overrated...

latest field project is over, I'm skipping out on lab work to get things together before leaving, so I don't come back to dirty sheets on the bed and stuff all over my floor. I need to find a place for the stero [livejournal.com profile] heuchera returned to me, which hasn't even made it out of the car yet... tonight, fencing, tomorrow night, 300 (ballston commons, I think... you should come!), saturday, Bloodbath, and then sunday I wander off.

See Rock City!

I've actually been thinking for some time that I need a smallish "projects" bag, as I tend to carry embroidery or zombie materials or whatever around in a small plastic bag, and have to dig under everything for scissors or hunt down my needle case every time I want it. And [livejournal.com profile] astormorray just posted this lovely thing as part of her search for the handbag of her dreams (it looked like a poor fourth or fifth best in her listing) and that and the old, smallish, army bag that Kelley carries in the field inspired me to go to the army surplus store I just discovered recently (in the shopping center at Rt 7 & Gosnell Rd, with the Staples, and the sex shop at the back) Anyway, I am now the owner of a black army surplus messenger bag. I would have gotten green, but it was apallingly bright green, and I didn't feel like attacking it with a dye bath. (although sticking that in the wash with one of those re-dye your jeans things might have been interesting...)

This post has been brought to you by the disinclination to do anything really useful. Now I will go back to sorting comic books, preparatory to getting them off my floor.
