For those of you who don't read kittymaru's journal, I recommend to your attention the website for the painting she & her co-workers just restored for the senate. The site is well constructed, and has a bunch of step-by-step information on the conservation process, which I thought was rather fascinating.

Also, anyone with a little disposable income (I know, not everybody these days...) might want to browse through adoptingcat-- it's a community put together to help the author Cat Valente continue to pay her rent as her fiance continues looking for another job (having been out of work for six months) and there are some neat things up for auction.

I continue to plant things and sort things and cook things, and even occasionally write things, and now if we are going to make it to climbing this evening, we should depart.
