At least three of the leaves on the tree outside my window are turning orange, and I woke up this morning and looked out at them and thought "I'm going to miss fall!" It was very sad.
Apparently, however, the fall fashion wardrobe involves super-light-weight pants, so that you'll have to buy new ones for winter. I didn't bother trying them on and cursing the poor cut and fit of modern pants; at some point I just need to make some more, but this evening is not the time to do it. So I went with the inelegant pants solution, and I now have a second good pair of leggings suitable for underlayers (and a fantastic flounced skirt from goodwill... Target didn't have leggings, either...) which should keep my legs from freezing sufficiently. I also got a half-sized hairbrush (of which they had *one* in the style that works in my hair...) and so I think I now own everything I plan to take. Just the getting it all together step...
So, a question for those of you who've been to the UK recently-- one of the random things I expect to do while there is wander into a grocery-type store in search of interesting foreign snackfoods. Any recommendations?
