And also, if you're a particularly civic-minded sort, I would mention that they'll be able to use as many election officers as they can possibly scare up for this one, so do consider it if you're able. It's a heck of a long day, and it's going to be a madhouse the whole time, but they do offer compensation, if you're in a position to be worried about missing a day of work financially. Fairfax County info here. And any competent extra hands are sure to be appreciated.
