I'm starting to get over my paranoia that I'll catch it on everything, but I still feel like it's all gothic architecturey with flying buttresses because it sticks out so far from my hand. ;)

You'll adjust to it. Just make sure you take it off if you're working with any substance that could get caught in the spaces. I learned that one the hard way. :)

Turn the gem part towards the palm of your hand when you're worried about catching on things or damaging the ring. I did that all the time with my engagement ring (don't wear it as much with the Small Person around, since I don't want to put her eye out).

I've been doing that some; it's more the times I forget it's there that worry me. :) There were some jokes about putting eyes out earlier, too, although grauwulf is well-defended, what with the glasses and all.
