lament for change on a sunny morning

The fall has largely fallen, and my maple tree has deserted me; I awakened this morning to full bright sun shining through my window, and had to move the Beryl-creature who has been dancing a wild gypsy dance in the middle of my floor. I don't remember when the trees leaf out in the spring, but they are tearing down the lovely old sycamores along grauwulf's street, and I don't know when I will next wake up to uncurtained windows and filtered green sunlight again.

not your fault. We just need to make sure that if we don't have a tree outside the bedroom window in the next house that there's room to plant one there.
