Dear Borders,

Why is it that you claim not to be able to sell me the new Bujold book that released today until Sunday? I find this distressing, particularly as your website assures me that it is not available in your stores, either. Were it not for the free gift cards that I have obtained by using my credit card, I would definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Sincerely,

an impatient potential customer

i think you should deliver that letter attached to a brick, via the front window.

Sadly, the front window of the nearest location of borders.com is my monitor, which I am not at all tempted to sacrifice.

*squibbles happily* Oooohhh, new book!

(Although BUGGER them for saying it can't be bought, grrrr.)

I've been re-reading the Vorkosigan series from the beginning for the umpteenth time, because I gave the compilations to Kira for Christmas this year . . . I do so love her deft touches with characterization and dialogue. *happysigh*

Yup. (You can get it off amazon now, for almost $10 cheaper; it's just that in my case, it's under $2 if I wait and use the giftcard)

Also, the reviews say this is the last of the Sharing Knife series, so we get to discover whether she's going to save the world once and for all, or just make a real start at re-ordering society. :)

ah, man, I was hoping for a new Vorkosigan book. But I could just read the ten or so before Komarr, huh?

You must read them all!!!! Which I say, because I was just about to name half of the ones you haven't read as some of my favorites, and then two more as being full of space stations and thus probably very much your kind of thing these days, and really that leaves Cetaganda (which is full of genetic manipulation and imperial politics, and thus also worthy) and Borders of Infinity (which is frame story for a bunch of also-quite-good short stories) and maybe the one that's set in super-futuristic-earth, and so really, you should just read them all.

Also, what's up with not friending my twitter? I make faces at you! ;P

ooops. twitter oversight corrected.

I will read them all... when they're all issued in audiobook format. :P

Or else, when I've got free time again. Ha!
