thanatereasons I am cross (maybe?):
1) network & computer are sporadically not getting along again
2) while I approve of a laptop plug design that doesn't pull my computer off things, I do not approve of one with such a weak magnet that it unplugs itself if I carry the computer across the room.
3) APPLE'S NEW TOUCHPAD IS A PIECE OF CRAP, carefully designed to be large enough for both hands to trail across it during normal use, inputing extraneous and unwanted commands, crazy autoscroll, random cursor jumps, frequent failure to click where & when I want, and unwanted resizing of browser content. I want my trackball back. :(
4) doll auction fiasco (um, we won't go into this, as it is me feeling bad about someone else's confused business practice, from which I benefited, which I should have said something about but didn't.)
5) Soom has once again proved that while they can produce lovely dolls, they have NO concept of biological engineering or joint mechanics. Um, no the part where the bone bends... that's where you put your joint. Really. I'm not making this up... (actually, this is semi-good, as I'm nearing my self-imposed doll limit, and didn't need to add a goat-girl, really. Even if a *proper* goat-girl would have been lovely.)
6) I didn't actually manage to get up this morning until after 11. No idea why, but I'm still tired & draggy. I need more exercise, and stuff.
7) Don't want to deal with catering. hate dealing with this sort of thing. waah. Um, I got as far as looking at a few places that didn't seem like what I was looking for, and have determined that this (except with havarti or something swapped in for the provalone, which I don't care for) is version 1 of my ideal tasty party tray. Possibly with additions of crackers & goey cheese, a veggies & ranch dip tray, and a huge assortment of exciting mini-desserts. Oh, and tea. This is not helpful to me in the current instance at all. :/
8) I need to get out of the house so I can actually work on the story I'm trying to write.
9) I want my silk swatches! I ordered them over a week ago... and my book, I want my book...
10) on failed take 2 of trying to paint a doll hand, and can't try again b/c the failure is in my ability to spray sealant without it clouding, and I need to wait for the weather to warm back up before trying take 3. I fail to understand why I am extremely bad at wielding a spraypaint can, but it seems to be so. I lack the concept of "light coat."
Anyway, I am done being whiny for the moment, and need to go vote (county board of supervisors special election) and then run some errands & write real things. We'll see.
