time, tide and gardens (wait for no man)

The daffodils are marching. Some go in straight lines out across the lawn, while others have broken rank and attempted to surface and roll off without their compatriots. If anyone (local, preferably) wants daffodils, I have a large handful of assorted bulbs which would probably be delighted to be planted in your garden. Please let me know; I'd hate to have to throw them out just because there wasn't enough space for them.

Oooooh I wish I could take them. We don't have any trips to your area planned for quite some time, though. My tulips are running just as rampant XD

I may well dig some of them out in the fall, if you want me to pot them up & keep them for you then. I might even know what colors I'd be giving you at that point. ;)

If they're like my mother's daffodils, they've had 'help' relocating from the squirrels.

I suspect that this is more a case where they've been there for multiple decades and the soil that was on top of them has all gone away, leaving bulbs that try to come with the leaves I was raking out of the garden. And they've spread vast amounts, also, so it's pretty tight quarters anyway.
