well, the damage is done.
Oct. 25th, 2007 09:22 pmbought doll. no self-restraint whatsoever. (well, ok, while I got her two pairs of eyes since I can't tell what color they really are from the computer images, I did not get her a wig-- particularly since I think the one they have in her photos, which I was intending to get, is sold out--oops-- as I have wigs, at least two of which will fit her, as they are too big for Waif)
And shipping from Korea? Absolutely apalling. (sometime in the last 8 months they stopped doing free shipping on orders over $500. although given how much it appears to cost, I can totally see why...)
Now I just need to pay for the next year on my storage unit and I won't have to worry about all that money I haven't gotten around to transferring over from my checking account to the savings one. Sigh.
But there's a 90% chance of rain for just about all of tomorrow. (yes, I just spent vast sums of money and am hoping not to go to work. er... never mind.)
Vega, Vega, Vega!!!

Date: 2007-10-26 01:41 pm (UTC)Oh, and your boy shirt pattern... can I borrow that, too? one of my holiday swap dolls needs a punky-casual long-sleeve T.
...and, and... she's got swapable feet. "assembled doll (normal) + heel parts" I'm kind of excited by this...

Date: 2007-10-26 05:49 pm (UTC)Yes, you may borrow said pattern. Or have. I need to make my holiday swap stuff too. I have three doll choices, but it's bacically goth/punk or Goth-loli/punk-loli.
Swapable feet should be fun. I hope you can find shoes for her?

Date: 2007-10-26 06:45 pm (UTC)I still haven't read the Roman de la Rose (either version) although I think I have a modern translation of the original floating around somewhere. Possibly even on the shelf that's not in storage. And I have the feeling I was supposed to read at least part of Chaucer's version at the end of my Chaucer class when I was busy writing my paper about bits of Ovid that crop up in Chaucer's work and not doing the last couple readings. Oops.
(and my other two swap dolls are "casual chic" which I did manage with jewelry after a bit of confusion about what that was anyway, and "frilly & cute" which ought ot be easy, but I'm drawing a blank on. Possibly I'll raid the barbie box for cast off scary toys.)
