Just dug this out of storage, washed it, and added that new pocket:

O the tacky! I started this in junior high, with scraps from just about everything in the house. Then it lived through a couple faire seasons...

I was told that this picture was required. Also, please pardon my fun-with-smear-brush obliteration of the road construction. We finally have got a road, since yesterday, but they're building it up in layers and are not actually done yet.

How fun - very patch-worky indeed. I like the irregular nature of the scraps :)

Thanks for posting pictures!

There are actually a couple that, if you look closely enough, have got notches from commercial pattern pieces cut out of them...

Yes, but is it comfortable?

Yes, actually. Fully lined (read: structurally supported) in a nice drapey green cotton, and well broken in. It works as a light cloak in either outdoor or indoor (too much A/C) situations, and as an overskirt in warmer weather. :)

Thanks-- it reminds me of being a little kid and playing "spinning games" (ie, spin around so many times you get dizzy, and see who's the last one standing) and I am quite pleased to have obliterated nearly all trace of the traffic cones behind me. :)
