headache season
Jun. 25th, 2009 09:39 amI spent upsetting amounts of yesterday reading someone's cyberfunded novel and giving myself a splitting headache; the sad part is that I finally managed to pry myself away because I was so frustrated with the main characters for being dumb that despite it being dark out and my brains wishing to climb out of my head, I couldn't get to sleep. I eventually came back downstairs and listened to half of a librivox collection of Lord Dunsany's short stories (after I gave up on trying to listen to Time and the Gods because the reader was so bad) in the dark with my eyes shut until
grauwulf got home.
Today, my head feels rotten and squashy rather than incompatible with life, so I am not going to see the new Transformers movie with
grauwulf and co-workers, as big screens in dark theaters are not particularly helpful to these things. I'm also putting myself on internet probation; I'll be checking e-mail, but if you see me commenting on lj things before about monday, feel free to kick me in the shins. Metaphorically speaking, I suppose.
Theoretically, by the time I'm "back" I should have: a fully re-sorted kitchen/pantry, a bookshelf/hutch built for my desk, possibly a desk chair that I can actually push in under the desk, and stuff. Or possibly less stuff, depending...
