I have escaped pennsic with full use of my lungs (not the case in previous years) and without succumbing to the particularly nasty plague that had struck down about half my camp by the time I left; ask me again in a week on the latter, but so far I'm vastly tired but otherwise fine. We shall see. I spent the week mainly wandering about attending classes and collecting handouts, with intervals of shopping, listening to early music discussions, lounging in camp, and explaining to people that I didn't have a legal gorget to fence in. I also made it to bar-bar for the first time (the ceremony whereat important personages of both sides make offers for the services of the celtic mercenaries, so-called because, being barbarians, all they say is bar bar bar) which was quite impressive.

The cat is still here, and delighted to see us; grauwulf is gearing up to football drinking game season, and I have piles of laundry to do, piles of class handouts to sort, directions to a monthly celtic music jam session at the beginner level, and a better idea of where my novel(s) are going. Now, however, it is bedtime.
