thanateThe past week or so has been a somewhat trying mix of nice things and extremely frustrating things, many of which affect my life in ways I have little to no control over. So, every time I start thinking about posting, something else happens and throws me off again. A couple of the little things:

kittymaru posted one of those odd video game music video mash-ups with cut scenes from FFX, and I mentioned once too many times to grauwulf that I might like to play the PS2 final fantasy games someday, he checked craigslist and an hour later brought home a package of two PS2s, a bunch of controllers & microphones, and upwards of sixty games, perhaps four of which I'll ever have interest in playing (no, seriously, we now have a knee high stack of licensed sports games!) and with luck the large stack grauwulf isn't interested in either will be worth enough trade credit someplace to get something we actually want.
*I have finally got pantry shelves, painted white & installed, and possibly even dry enough that the cans won't stick to them after sitting there for a while. Now I just need a broom closet (ha!) to put away all the untidy piles of paper bags and shipping supplies and things.
*For some reason, my e-mail (through GoDaddy web hosting--they may have the second most irritating commercials ever, but in general they've done ok) seems to bounce attachments from some but not all sources. So far my data points for failure are a gmail and an msn account, but I don't know who might have had this problem and not explored further. Anyone have thoughts on what this might be, or how to fix it?
*This sunday begins the dreaded Football Season; this year I have a craft room to retreat into, however, so I suspect an increase in productivity. We shall see.
*The garden is lovely; we have flowers and butterflies and baby mourning doves (round 3), and sightings of a goldfinch and a hummingbird. Also, if anyone in this general biome wants swamp milkweed seeds, let me know.
Also of note: the latest on the lj squick for those of you following along at home (plus a case of facebook actively encouraging stalkers.) Um... I also seem to have been given a dreamwidth new account code, if anyone wants it. (You're not obliged to, of course, but I thought I'd ask the people I actually know before dropping it off in the free codes forum.)
