So I've barely made it to 7.5k, which is below the target WC for yesterday... You people who can sit down and actually just concentrate & write for two hours? I hate you all. (I have sat here alternately staring at stuff and looking up things I'm being distracted by for the past hour and a quarter, and produced a stunning 279 words. I would be frustrated by this if I weren't so tired. Good thing I'm not planning on doing anything tomorrow night...)

But I did go to fencing, and besides several people who are terribly annoying, it was worthy. And now (I hope) there will be sleep, and this is also worthy.

I can't write for 2 hours straight. The best I can do is about an hour. Yesterday, however, I was writing in 20-30 minute chunks, then taking 30 minute to hour long breaks...

If I can get ino the groove, I can write tomes, the problem is geting into the said groove. If I could do that at the drop of a hat, I wouldn't be having the same sort of issues I have at the office.

Ditto. I almost always write much more and faster in e-mails than trying to put together a coherent plotline. And then I get much worse when working on papers and work-type writing, which I keep trying to explain to my father when he tells me I ought to be a tech writer...

I'm not too good at that, either. I can sit down and work on comics for hours, but writing is something I seem better able to do in any spare twenty minutes or so that I can grab. Unless the stars align, or something - because I did do some major writing on Tuesday, but then, I'd finished reading a book and was at the airport and... well, all other options for distracting myself were exhausted or nonexistant. I think I operate on word count and not on time, anyway. 500 words and I can do something else for a while, that sort of thing.

See, if I could do 500 words at a stretch, I wouldn't have this problem. Well, sometimes I can. But generally the wordcount will expand to fill all available time, and I'll sit in front of my computer ALL DAY, mainly staring at the walls thinking about writing instead of doing it, and produce maybe 2 to 2.5K.

I wish my brain functioned more controlably...
