white lace and doll punk

Today's WC is about 400, and based off of The House Carpenter. I seem to be sort of doing a ballad series in short stories, probably because I have a backlog of songs I keep listening to and wondering about minor characters.

In other news, I have miraculously obtained more yarn of the same dye lot as the stuff I mail-ordered (because... I am knitting on gauge for once, but going through too much yarn?) by the simple expedient of going to the craft store and picking up the top two skeins in the bin. Crazy. And I posted my crazy lace shirt on craftster: Observe the off-whiteness and lace! Don't mind my terrible combinations of background, lighting, and broken tripod attachment on the camera, just scroll down for the pretty pictures that don't have me in them... Also, I think the real reason I didn't have a white & lacy wedding dress is because somewhere in my head white and lace got reassigned to things like this. Yes, it is going in the washing machine...

Also:

There was a while in high school & college where I would write random things on my hands; I was going for the messy ball-point look here. The temporary tattoo says "big trouble" on it. (this isn't sealed, and is liable to change from time to time... hee!)

At first I was meh on the shirt because its really not my style, but the closeups of all the lace changed my mind. Its really neat.

Yeah, it's mostly about the details anyway. Also, the shirt itself looks a lot better with jeans, but I was too lazy to change for the pictures. oops.
