finishing your homework makes you sexier

thanatewriting: saturday=nothing, friday & today minimal wordcounts (maybe a couple hundred for both?) but Mariah Susan's a wrap. Although, like most of the sillier things I write, the first draft could probably use some hearty flaying.
Went to Ymir, spent it mostly knitting & not even largely talking to people, which is a little sad. But as I was telling Candice, I was more interested in contemplating early period rapier armor (yeah, I know...) than in actually fighting. Also, I need to pushgrauwulf to do parry drills: loop a series of about five or six actions and just repeat it for about fifteen minutes. Next time, pick a different series in a different order. Rise and repeat, preferably multiple times a week. Of course, it would help if I put my sword back together first.
Anyway, lots of driving (it's a long way to the NC border from here, though where we were going had a fair amount of smaller state routes & highways), much knitting, and some conversation about interpersonal weirdness. I continue not to track the distinction between friends who banter by being mean to each other & the point where the same people, bantering in (to my view) the same way, actually dislike each other. Also, various ruminations on what sorts of pushing-the-social-norms behaviors make one want to kick otherwise [presumably] nice people in the head, which is of course a different set for everyone.
Next week will also be a bit on the busy side, I think, and I need to get more sleep. Now might be an excellent time to start.
