thanateI wrote about a paragraph on... Tuesday, I think, about what happens to vampires after the sort of apocalypse wherein everyone else dies, but on the whole I'm not sure I know what the story is there, or whether I'm sufficiently interested in the concept to come up with a plot for it. So my main achievement for the week would be getting my Viable Paradise application out of the house (which took until this morning, and reminded me strongly of why it is that I don't send stories to places that don't do e-subs... fortunately we did have enough blank white paper in the house, but I forgot to get another ream when I was out today.)
After that, I went and got a water bottle that I hope will not leak lemonade all over my wallet & anything else I'm trying to carry around with me, and a silly doll. Mattel has come up with a "monster high" series of the kids of famous monsters. They are tackily fashion doll, with appalling heels and weird slimline limbs that make me think of that kid's book about the planet where everyone who lived there ended up super elongated & short lived until they died out after a couple dozen generations, but my inner eight-year-old has a thing about silly fashion dolls, and there was a mer-girl with cute little webbed fingers...
Then I came home, worked on some swap extras, opened all the windows & let the cat enjoy the lovely weather from the porch, and baked cookies for tomorrow's expedition to Gettysburg. And now I should go to sleep, in hopes of waking up in time for said expedition.
