We had another 0.4" of rain this morning, nice and steadily from somewhere around 3 am to mid-morning, and although the thermometer claimed it got a little above 90 I'm pretty sure it was delusional, as it was nice enough to leave the windows open all day. And I was actually relatively productive, and felt about 90% more like an actual human being than I have recently. Madness.
Tomorrow morning I even get my car back, with a nice newly rebuilt transmission that should continue allowing me to shift gears for many years to come. And then I can go to the grocery store, and the library, and all those other places I want to go, up to and including Readercon. Awesome. I might even go to the fabric store to see if they have a better thread match for the green linen I just cut out; my options here are a slightly yellower dark green or a blue-gray which equally *almost* blend (and would both be fine) but there must be better.
But now, I should go back to working on better website content, as my classy writer cards came in the mail today, and I can't give them out until I have something better to show for it.

...I remember deciding some years back that I should make a really professional looking website to show off my web-design/development skills and so forth, and I started trying to do that and got bored, and did something that didn't look as "professional", but which I had much more fun working on than the slick/modern designs that I thought looked like what the with-it web-savvy author was doing. :rueful:
Oh, and um, Hi! I'm new to Dreamwidth, and I stumbled across your journal and it looked interesting, so I subscribed. I hope you don't mind.
