(ok, I'm still a little confused by this "selfie" term, but it seemed appropriate for the slightly less flattering angles the camera & everyone else sees that don't show up in the mirror-- my mental self-image never seems to include so much of the vocalist's double-chin thing. Which I don't mean terribly in a self-insulting way; it's just one of those things that makes one go "hm" and "I look better at [some other angle], don't I?")

And just for fun, the full extent of subcutaneous baby: (these were from valentine's day-- 5'6" me of mixed British Isles heritage, ~195lbs at ultrasound-determined full term with ~7lb 7oz baby. Now with bonus glamorous views of closet and laundry basket.)






In other news, we have achieved hands-free nursing in a wrap carrier (which is awesome!--see the 3rd video down, here) and I have thus far managed to drop a very few sandwich crumbs on the baby in attempting to eat while she does.

Yeah, I kind of wondered if it were a proportional problem in your case-- the other person I've talked to who said she couldn't nurse in a carrier has much less extreme dimensions, but I think she was working with some kind of commercial formed thing rather than the flexible positioning of a wrap.

I'm just delighted that I can make this work for us, because my shoulder and wrists were starting to hate me already.
