In the interest of not turning into someone who does little but transfer links from one platform to another, I appear to be turning into someone who never posts at all. Possibly this is counter-productive, but since a great deal of my computer time is presently spent with a baby weighing down one arm or the other, things that involve typing become somewhat less attractive. And if I'm to finish mucking with the story I'm poking at, then that ought to take precedence.

Meanwhile, there has been much reading of books all miscellaneously depending on what's within arm's reach of where we've settled, and we have begun wandering the neighborhood in mile or two increments. The Megatherium falls asleep nicely in a carrier, so as long as I keep moving we seem to be able to stay out as long as I like. My quiet baby has gotten rather louder; she has taken to screaming in the parental ears from time to time, often for no reason we can discover, but she's also working through all the interesting noises she can figure out how to make, either babbling to herself, or to us with deliberately conversational timing. And she pretty clearly smiles on purpose now, so she's still earning her keep with the cuteness, despite the occasional moment of "Who is this screaming thing and what have you done with my quiet happy baby?" Makes one wonder about the concept of changelings.

The nonfiction book I'm presently reading is about ice ages and ecosystems (After the Ice Age: The Return of Life to Glaciated North America)-- tangential to the Doggerland thing-- and I am slowly coming to realize that everything I research is interconnected with everything else I find interesting. Not that this is a new concept in theory, but from the first two chapters alone there were about five points of correlation to other things I've learned in the last year.

I like your link lists. I'm always up for more interesting things on the internet to read.
