thanateWhatever we end up doing, there are going to be some large oak limbs coming down. We have access to a sawmill-style chainsaw attachment (my father's) and a chain saw if you need that as well, but no time to deal with all this crap.
Does anybody want to come out and rescue any wood for exciting future projects, or shall I send it off to whatever the tree-care company does with that which they haul away? You'll need space & time to season it, but it should be possible get some very nice pieces, especially for smaller projects.
There's also a planer that'll take up to at least 2" boards (maybe 3? I'm not sure) in my father's basement, which I suspect would be up for borrowing in a year or two if you needed that as well.
