thanateRight so, we were at monday, on which I didn't write anything. Instead I went to the aquarium and then to yoga, and presumably I did something else but darned if I can think what. grauwulf's birthday and went to interview for volunteering in the marine animal rescue (hereafter MARP) at the aquarium-- the part that's taking care of any seals or turtles or whatnot that get transported to Baltimore for long-term care, rather than the part that involves being on call for strandings along the eastern shore-- and discovered that the person who was supposed to do the interviews was sick, and so her boss had come in to do them, who is one of the people I've already worked with planting beach grasses, and had she known in advance she would have approved me without my having to drive out to interview. Since I was already there, I went on to wander around the aquarium and watch sea turtle feeding time and a dolphin show and see if the new octopus was out again, and got home in time to waste most of the afternoon-- probably looking at doll wigs? At any rate, I printed out a vast number of JoAnn's coupons and went down to columbia to shop and take cupcakes to fencing practice, and wrote Very Little, but as that little was finishing the workshop application letter I've been agonizing over, perhaps that's excusable.
Today I got large quantities of hand-me-down dirt and a bunch of containers for growing things in fromthewronghands (and tea! thank you!) and dumped it all into the raised bed full of mostly-compost from last season, added more charcoal & potsherds, and mixed well. I think I'm still going to need a little bought dirt, but that should be measurable in bags rather than arranging deliveries, and I now have something to plant my container-corn in. Also, my seeds shipped! Aside from that, the most useful I've been involved getting groceries and cutting out particularly silly pillows for the swap package, so no writing today, either. Possibly I should spend the long while I'm at the aquarium tomorrow (no, I don't live there, really...) deciding what I want to be working on, writing-wise anyway.
