going places and doing things

So, it looks like I'll be going to that writing workshop in October after all... and therefore possibly not taking community college classes next fall (I was vaguely looking at biology & forensics sorts of things, on the grounds that it's been a while since I took real classes, and they're interesting, offered by the county community college in locations that don't involve driving most of the way to Annapolis, and are things I haven't studied formally since high school) and also possibly not making it to Capclave to see Cat Valente as a GOH after all. Hm. Some sacrifices must be made. Currently, I am trying to restrain undue levels of excitement or nervousness, since aside from sorting roommates, there's nothing to get worked up about before October, and stress points devoted to pennsic prep would be far more productive.

I have also (slantwise on the subject of cheering e-mails in my writing in-box) finally taken steps to replace GoDaddy for my web hosting, as it appears that my ongoing intermittent problem with attachments bouncing for no apparent reason is due to their overzealous spam blocking. This does mean that there may be a brief outage of photo hosting and my website (which apparently someone looks at-- I got a random e-mail the other month suggesting didn't I want to add content to one of the maze links... which, er, I then ignored...) and some slight confusion to my e-mail. But it should be relatively brief. We shall see. (ETA: it is also possible that I & GoDaddy have conspired to muck up the domain transfer process and I will never have e-mail again. Bah.)
