There's a sign up in the Taco Bell down the road, which looks quite new, advertising that they're safe for lent. Which, once you read the whole thing and discover that what they're actually saying is anything can be made vegetarian upon request, makes sense to say. But lent? In September?

Date: 2006-09-18 12:16 pm (UTC)Lent is a Catholic tradition that has nothing to do with Vegetarian. Now if they were focussing on theo other religions that do encourage vegetarian ways of life.
I mean Rosh Hashanah is this week, but last I checked that wasn't a vegetarian celebration. And Idon't think any resturant will be Yom Kippur friendly, especially since its a fasting time until the big feast... and I doubt that feast will be Taco Bell....
So why lent?
