(or as I initially heard "win this world of cards" which is kind of a fascinating image... sort of like a house of cards, only the whole world... and goes well with the slipping of hands bit)

So I was driving home from rock climbing, and ended up behind a van that said "GIANT / Landover, MD". And I looked at that and had a moment of familiarity.... once upon a time in the olden days when I worked a respectable office job for General Mills (I know, who can see me as working in food marketing?) the other half of the office had two groups called Giant-Landover and Giant-Carlysle. And not that I'd thought about it, but I had no idea this was a place, let alone that Landover was in Md... wonder where Carlysle is.

Anyway, possible coming attractions, post sleep and spending some little time at home:

*why my wrist hurts
*why I need a sprawling english manor house/feeshie bottles!
*whining about work of some sort and/or my... distorted reputation thereat
*serger fun! (it came yesterday & I haven't even opened the box yet...)

Friends of mine are playing Poker tonight. I keep planning to make it out there for their poker nights, but I have prior plans for tonight, so that won't happen. Either way, a night of cards might be a good way to do things... Not sure yet. I still prefer cribbage, and bulilding houses of cards.

I know that there is a Carlisle, PA. But I can guess that they are related to each other since they are 2 hours away from each other.

I tend to avoid card games (ask janna about spades sometime) but I'll cheerfully asist you in building card buildings if you need encouragement. :)

This may well be the same carlisle; they're two distribution centers for the grocery chain.

...and no, I'm not trying to become either broken or a provost just at present-- and sadly, if my options are white scarf or wrist that works, I'd much prefer not to be broken. Clearly my priorities are skewed.
