serger fun; another pointless entry

Just finished the serger part of project #1 (pants, cut out while I was still working temporarily at the fabric store the winter/spring before last) They look a little funny because, much as I love the fabric, I forgot how odd I think stripey pants look. And there was minor weirdness with one of the topstitched seams, which I guess I could redo if it bothers me too much. But they are done except for buttonholes & buttons (on the regular sewing machine) and the serger is worthy. Even if playing musical sewing machines is not something I actually have space for. Only the one desk, and too much stuff on it already. (although if I finish some projects, that'll be less clutter...) And not (as tradition will have it) difficult to thread... it may have 4 threads to sort out, but each one of them is slightly less complicated than a standard machine's top thread. Next I shall have to play with the "rolled" narrow hem feature. And auto-gathering. mmm, ruffles...
Right. buttonholes. La, la, la...
