thanateAwake is a horrible imposition at this time. Possibly in part because I was perfectly well awake for no good reason about two hours ago. And then I went back to sleep and dreamed that I got to work and Alvin had forgotten to bring the donuts he promised us this morning. Perhaps he will not forget in real life.
Meanwhile, I am a horrible babysitter, and the cat (who figured out I was awake when the radio went off) and I are making pathetic mewing noises at each other through the door of my room. Poor deprived creature has no one but his fellow cat to bother, and Tarquin, who is not particularly sociable, generally runs away.
