(I just figured out what that line was this morning; I've had the song for several years now & never quite worked it out. And I still prefer "the captive song of Mary Stuart" to "Lament of Mary, Queen of Scotts," which it is from, but that's almost as good as the description of her second husband as having velvet eyes & gilded hair...)

The "agenda rock" for the weekend:

-be at home. socialize with cats.
-attain enlightenment. or failing that, chapter eight
-put music from the CDs in my car back on my computer
-squish pokeweed berries into purple dye... or at least throw them out if I'm not going to get to it
-clean out my car, preparatory to either camping at war of the wings, or at least being deported to DE (which might now be happening next week, but not until tuesday; this remains to be seen)
-sleep
-possibly work on a hallowe'en costume (though I just realized it might require buying more fabric, in which case it's unlikely)
-possibly go climbing on Sunday
-possibly go to the multi-family yard sale that's somewhere on Shreve Rd tomorrow
-possibly watch another one of the movies I borrowed from troyfish so that when he gets around to buying The Revenger's Tragedy, or gets Orlando back & he & kittymaru finish with it, I will feel justified in borrowing these things also.
-possibly be sociable in some way...

I think, with all the possiblies on this list, I might be able to manage a decent showing here. We shall see. And my parents get back from the left coast tomorrow evening, so I'll be off catsitting duty, finally.
