chapter 3

So I just finished chapter three, in which Scheherazade gets to the underworld, meets an old friend, and he spends the entire rest of the chapter talking. And talking. And when I give them something else to think about by introducing new situations, he talks about that too, and he didn't even explain what I wanted to know, which was how he ended up working for the Duat (egyptian underworld) beaurocracy. (how the heck do you spell this? my spell check can't figure out my mangling of it) He didn't used to do this, in the last book...

Fortunately, she has now left egypt for someplace in america, and we will most likely not see him again.

Once upon a time, Argent dies unexpectedly, and his mate (these are all mice) Scheherazade goes into the underworld(s) to search for him. Meanwhile he has been randomly transported back 4 1/2 millennia by the Sumerian Queen of the Underworld, and must find his way back through time to where he might one day get to see his family again (once they die or whatever). Also meanwhile, their children are being fostered by Grandmother Death, growing up, and each going on a fairytale style quest.
