survived the cold. (was very cold, but less uncomfortable than an issue because even after breaking through the frozen layer, any dirt dug up had to be screened immediately, or it froze and became unmanageable.)

no more field work this week for me. yay! (and I get to go climbing, and fencing, and to ymir...)
