Nov. 13th, 2005 09:59 amSo I finally finshed the evil chapter 11; I think the problem was that I was inadvertantly trying to squeeze most of the plot of a romance novel into one chapter. Whee. Anyway, on to Richmond! (well, Valhalla, actually)
Yesterday (which was supposed to be a day off from writing, due to the SCA event, but actually had 1.5K of the chapter that refused to end) invloved much sailing of boats, in which my ghost ship, tattered sails and all, won a fairly close second place in the raingutter races. I think its main advantage was that I did enough rigging that the corners of the sails were tacked firmly in place, and the silk was much lighter weight than the heavy plastic of the sails in the kits that everyone was working with. I won the most creative design prize, which was a reproduction of a peroid map of Italy, complete with a pornographic mer-couple fondling each other in mid-sea.
