(not that it did... the promised thunderstorms have not yet started, although if they're late enough that it's still pouring rain tomorrow, that would be ok too)

Conversation from earlier in the week:

[I forget who asked this]: Are you doing anything interesting this weekend?
me: I'm going to philly to go see King Tut and the Philadelphia flower.
[various noises of approval re: king tut from others]
Tom: I saw that exhibit when it was in LA and it was really good. Although the headdress that they use in all the publicity isn't actually in the exhibit.
me: I haven't actually seen any of the publicity. My friend said, "King Tut is in Philly, do you want to go?" and of course I did.
Jeremy: Is it a man or a woman?
me: [totally confused] what?
Jeremy: your friend. that you're going to see.
me: oh! I thought you were still on King Tut, and it seemed like a really strange question.

Also, I am not a man, and not King Tut. And I don't think King Tut is actually here, just some of his stuff. Um, yeah. What headdress?

this is probably good, on both counts. I have no idea what headdress. If they're still using it on the publicity, I expect we'll see pictures of it tomorrow.
