contact the toy foundation (you have the link) which is working on this, they often have PSA's ready for people to distribute. Standard radio stations are troubling because they often do psa's late at night. College radio and local NPR (which is what I assume you were thinking of) may be better.

I'm going to look into it tonight / at lunch.

Also I wonder if local news stations would be willing to do stories on this? I wonder if the local shops are even aware? I haven't noticed any fliers at the thrift shops.... It's so late in the game, I hope that it can be stopped. Especially in the middle of a recession? Come on people.

I'm thinking less about PSAs than about getting the attention of the talkative personality type radio announcers, who'll get all excited about some idea and mention it all day. But I don't listen to those radio stations, so I don't know who they are.

But yeah, there really should be a week's worth of features about this on Marketplace, too.

I hate to say it, but musicians may be a good avenue too. Mobilize the punk cabaret *grin*
