silliness:
Jan. 23rd, 2009 08:46 amThe first seven (7) people to respond to this post will get something made by me.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year (2009).
- No requests-- it could be anything. It may be a mix CD. It may be a poem. I may draw or paint something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch is that if you don't re-post this offer, the bargain is void!
Also, I did not quite get there in time to yell at the workers who are now jackhammering up the front walk; presumably they believe that since they poured the street sidewalk so unevenly with the personal walkways that were already there, they have to re-pour stuff on our properties. Of course, in our case it was a 3 inch step, and the walk was in perfectly good shape, and now I get to listen to the jackhammer right outside my door. And I have this feeling that the incompetent newspaper delivery people are going to manage to get a paper stuck in the concrete... The downhill neighbor, who has a foot and a half step, is far more in need of the help. Besides that
grauwulf says he managed to sink knee-deep into the freshly poured sidewalk on his way out the door one morning, too. I remain not impressed with this street renovation.

Date: 2009-01-24 04:08 am (UTC)I hate owing people things. It's like this looming dread over my head too. I have to get rid of it quick. This just wouldn't be fun for me, you know what I mean? I'd end up running around like a crazy person, feeling guilty. That's why I passed over it all this time. I just misread like a bonehead. I was like, wow... that's very cool!
It's ok... you don't have to do anything for me. I was a knucklehead.

Date: 2009-01-24 03:47 pm (UTC)Like I said, you should send me your address anyway. I make no promises, but that way if I'm ever inspired, you get a real surprise rather than me asking where to send a mystery present.
